LaunchQuest is a web application that helps indie game developers discover relevant YouTube creators for game marketing. We are based in France, European Union and act as the data controller for personal data processed through this service.

LaunchQuest indexes YouTube creators so that game developers can find and reach out to them. This includes business and contact information — such as an email address and social links — that creators have published themselves in their public YouTube channel descriptions, alongside public channel statistics.

We make this information available to paid subscribers for the purpose of relevant, good-faith game-marketing outreach.

Legal basis:Our legitimate interest in facilitating business-to-business creator discovery (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), balanced against creators' rights.

Creators' right to object: If you are a creator and do not want your contact information included, you have the right to object (Article 21 GDPR). Email us at privacy@launchquest.app and we will remove your contact data from the service.

We process personal data to:

• Provide the service and operate creator search
• Create and manage your account and subscription
• Provide customer support
• Understand and improve product usage through analytics
• Secure the service and prevent abuse

Legal bases: performance of our contract with you (account and billing), our legitimate interests (analytics, security, creator discovery), and your consent where applicable.

5. How we store and share your data

We rely on the following service providers, who act as data processors on our behalf:

• Supabase — database and authentication, hosted within the European Union
• Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions
• Google — Google Analytics and Google sign-in (OAuth)
• Upstash — rate limiting to protect the service from abuse

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain account data for as long as your account is active, and delete it on request or when LaunchQuest ceases operations. Billing records are retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law. Creator contact data is retained until a removal request is received. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@launchquest.app.

As an EU resident — whether you are a user or a creator indexed by the service — you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data
• Right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest, including creator listings
• Right to lodge a complaint — with your national data protection authority (e.g. CNIL in France)

8. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to function, including the session cookies our authentication provider (Supabase) uses to keep you signed in. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and identifiers to measure product usage. We do not use advertising cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

As LaunchQuest grows, this policy will be updated to reflect new data processing activities. We will notify account holders of any material changes by email before they take effect.
